U.S. equity futures recorded $21 billion in net selling last week, according to JPMorgan data cited by @DeItaone. Most of the pressure occurred on Friday in S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 contracts. 8 billion during the same period and more than offset the futures selling.

The net result left overall equity exposure higher despite the week’s volatility. Fixed-income ETFs attracted strong demand. Commodities funds and some emerging-market funds posted redemptions. Investors rotated holdings across sectors while maintaining long equity positions.

The continued long stance persisted even as prices fluctuated during the week.
