Everton agree deal worth up to £30m for Chelsea winger Tyrique George, subject to personal terms and medical

uk reported. The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the club under an arrangement that included an option to buy for £25 million. Everton renegotiated the upfront fee to £24 million, with the remaining £6 million tied to European qualification and appearances.
Chelsea included a 15 percent sell-on clause in the agreement. The transfer remains subject to personal terms and a medical. George made 11 appearances for Everton during his loan, starting once. Manager David Moyes described him as an "excellent boy with an excellent work-rate" at the end of that spell.
George came through Chelsea's academy and is an England Under-21 international. He held talks with RB Leipzig last summer, and a proposed £22 million move to Fulham collapsed on transfer deadline day in September 2025. George is set to become Everton's second summer signing after a £16 million deal for Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.
Merlin Rohl completed a permanent move from SC Freiburg following his loan. Idrissa Gana Gueye and Seamus Coleman left the club at the end of their contracts.
