Fallout Season 3 Filming Begins in July 2026

Walton Goggins posted an Instagram photo showing himself preparing for Ghoul makeup, indicating that filming for Fallout season 3 has begun. The post was made on July 8, 2026. Season 2 started filming in November 2024 and aired in December 2025, a gap of 13 months.

If season 3 follows the shorter production schedule of season 2, an August 2027 release is possible. That would place the gap between season 2 and season 3 at roughly 20 months.

Forbes reported that season 2 maintained high viewership and strong critic and audience scores. The series has outperformed some other game adaptations in retaining audience interest across seasons. Other streaming programs have experienced sharp drops in viewership when gaps between seasons stretch to two years or longer.

Fallout episodes have aired over a two-month window rather than all at once.
