FBI and DHS agents raided a Midlothian residence on June 29 using armored vehicles and flash-bang grenades. The operation targeted evidence in an alleged plot against a June 14 White House UFC event. The resident has not been charged.
The InterceptFederal agents from the FBI and Department of Homeland Security raided a home in Midlothian, Texas, on June 29. The Intercept reported that agents used Bearcat armored vehicles and flash-bang grenades during the no-knock operation authorized by a search warrant tied to an alleged bomb plot at the June 14 UFC event at the White House.
The Justice Department described the broader case as an assassination plot against high-ranking officials involving explosive drones and sniper rifles.
Documents viewed by The Intercept showed the Midlothian warrant listed potential charges including conspiracy to commit murder. The resident, identified publicly only by the social media handle Doberman, has not been indicted. Two weeks before the raid, FBI and Secret Service agents visited the home and told Doberman she was not in trouble while asking about any impending attack, according to video footage obtained by The Intercept.
Doberman replied that she knew nothing about a plot and was broke. During the June 29 raid, agents broke down the door and trained rifles on Doberman after she was woken by the noise and flash. Officers handcuffed her and led her outside in her underwear, The Intercept reported.
Doberman, who is transgender, said she was denied clothing. Agents seized only her cellphone. In the days after the raid, an FBI agent returned the phone and offered Doberman between $100,000 and $200,000 to serve as a confidential informant, according to Doberman and confirmed by National Lawyers Guild attorney Xavier de Janon.
Doberman said she would consider the offer but had no intention of accepting. Agents also questioned her about individuals named in federal indictments related to the UFC plot and the Prairieland case. Doberman is a member of the Community Liberation Brigade and has been filmed armed at protests.
A Dallas Express op-ed published shortly before the raid identified her as a group leader and suggested ties to the Prairieland defendants.
