Indiana Fever players and coaches held a team meeting Monday that lasted roughly 90 minutes to two hours. The discussion covered performance issues after two consecutive losses. Guard Sophie Cunningham said the group aimed to address concerns and align on next steps.

"We had a team meeting [Monday] -- a long meeting -- and so hopefully we've kind of turned the page," Cunningham said. "I think we were in there an hour and a half, almost two hours, and we built back all the layers.

She described the talks as necessary following the recent defeats. Coach Stephanie White said the meeting was shorter than Cunningham recalled. Both players and coaches stated the conversation focused on improving results.

Recent performance The team enters Thursday's game with a 4-4 record.

It sits a half-game outside the final playoff position. Cunningham said the group needs to adopt a tougher approach on defense. White indicated varied defensive schemes will be introduced gradually.
