Six-Year-Old Girl in Croydon Calls 999 to Save Mother from Seizure

A six-year-old girl named Pearl from Croydon, England, contacted emergency services on 999 after her 35-year-old mother, Carole, collapsed from a seizure last year. Pearl unlocked her mother's mobile phone and informed the operator that Carole was unresponsive, lying on the sofa with eyes opening and closing, shaking, and foaming at the mouth.

She also confirmed that her mother was breathing by observing chest movement.

Pearl provided the family's home address during the call and expressed fear but remained composed. Her four-year-old sister, Amelia, was present during the incident. Paramedic Charlotte Aisbitt arrived in a fast response car within five minutes of the call.

Emergency Response and Treatment Aisbitt described the children as calm and helpful upon her arrival.

An ambulance crew followed approximately five minutes later. Carole was transported to a hospital, where medical staff diagnosed a bleed on the brain. Carole has made a good recovery since the incident.

The event occurred while Carole was alone with her two daughters at home.

Recognition for the Children Pearl and Amelia received commendation certificates from the London Ambulance Service for their actions.
