FIFA president Gianni Infantino attended matches in all three 2026 World Cup host countries during the tournament's opening week. Infantino began the schedule at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on June 11 for the opening match between Mexico and South Africa. He then flew to Guadalajara to watch South Korea play Czechia.
Guadalajara he traveled to Los Angeles to see the United States face Paraguay. The next day he continued to the San Francisco Bay Area for Qatar versus Switzerland. Infantino next flew to Vancouver for Australia against Türkiye before traveling to Miami on June 14 to address the FIFA Executive Football Summit.
He returned to Seattle the following day for Belgium versus Egypt and later flew back to Los Angeles for Iran versus New Zealand. Infantino then traveled to Kansas City to watch Argentina play Algeria and continued to Houston for Portugal versus Congo DR.
On the final day covered in the report he returned to Mexico City for Uzbekistan versus Colombia before flying to Vancouver again for Canada versus Qatar.
