Film Group Recovers 1967 Dudley Moore Trio BBC Clip

Film is Fabulous! com reported. Preservationists discovered the footage during cataloguing of two private film collections. The clip ranks among dozens of BBC variety and music programs thought lost when the network erased and reused tapes to cut costs before reruns gained traction in the UK.

Dudley Moore led his own trio as an Oxford-trained and classically schooled jazz musician and pianist before he turned to comedy. He later starred in the Hollywood films “10” and “Arthur,” earning an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for the latter. Surviving fragments of erased programs have surfaced from private movie collections, attics and forgotten film cans.
