A fire broke out on the sixth floor of a Coupang Inc. logistics center in Incheon at 6:54 a.m. on July 18. All 121 people inside the building, including logistics workers, were evacuated without injury.
Fire authorities issued a Level 1 response at nearby stations around 9:15 a.m. and sent 219 personnel along with 79 pieces of equipment to the site. Officials said the chance of the blaze spreading remains low.
The fire may take time to control because of flammable objects stored inside the facility, authorities added. They plan to determine the cause once the fire is extinguished.
