Marcellus Wiley was taken into custody in Orlando after his wife reported a battery and alleged he threatened her life. Police responded to a hotel room where the couple's children were present.
New York PostMarcellus Wiley, a former NFL defensive end, was arrested Saturday in Orlando after his wife called police to report a battery during an alleged altercation at a World Marriott hotel room. Police said Annemarie Wiley told officers she wanted her husband removed because she feared for her safety after he threatened to kill her.
She also alleged he poked her in the cheek with one finger in front of their 7-year-old daughter the previous morning.
Arrest details The arrest affidavit states the couple's three children and other kids staying at the hotel for a basketball tournament were in the room when officers arrived. Annemarie Wiley, who appeared on Season 13 of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," told police she plans to divorce her husband.
Wiley told police there was no physical altercation and that he had never gotten physical with his wife. He showed officers cordial text messages between them and said he was caring for the children at the time.
Prior allegations Wiley was previously accused of sexual assault by four women, according to a Rolling Stone report published in May. He denied the allegations on his podcast and said he had evidence to prove misrepresentations. He was also previously sued by three individuals who alleged he raped them while at Columbia.
