A former New York governor is helping organize an American football tournament for Ukrainian youth scheduled for June 23 in Vinnytsia. More than 12 local teams will compete in the friendly event. The winning team will receive a football signed by New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Background The former governor said he has visited Ukraine more than a dozen times. He noted that roughly 600 players across the country participate in American football and that many have joined the military. His son, who served in the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan, has traveled to Ukraine more than seven times since the war began and will lead the center's delegation.
