Fox Sports carried all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup live across Fox and FS1, with every match also streaming in 4K on Fox One. The network operated from a Los Angeles base and two traveling studios that moved to the best matches each day. The U.S. men's national team match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 1 drew 24.4 million viewers and peaked at 31.9 million, the largest English-language soccer audience in U.S. history.

Group-stage matches averaged 5.1 million viewers across Fox, FS1 and Tubi, nearly double the comparable 2022 figure.

Fox expanded its pregame programming, which averaged 2.29 million viewers. Brazil-Morocco drew 10 million on Fox alone, and Cabo Verde-Uruguay set an FS1 record. Nielsen's expanded out-of-home measurement contributed to higher reported totals compared with prior cycles.

Tubi offered free 4K matches and creator content to reach casual viewers. Fox One tested paid conversion by offering the same matches behind a subscription. The network sold full-screen commercials during FIFA hydration breaks, an inventory category not used by Telemundo.

Fox secured English-language rights in 2015.

The 2026 tournament is the final one under the current deal. Netflix holds rights to the next two Women's World Cups.
