The Reconstruction Agency, currently located in a government building in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward, is scheduled to dissolve in 2030. The Japan Times reported that residents of Fukushima Prefecture fear the agency's functions could be absorbed by a new Disaster Management Agency, potentially reducing the priority given to reconstruction.

The Fukushima Institute for Research, Education and Innovation, known as F-REI, is set for completion in fiscal 2030.
