Fox NewsThe New York Giants signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on Monday. Beckham visited the team on Monday and agreed to terms after the Giants lost receiver and kick returner Gunner Olszewski to a torn right Achilles tendon on Friday.
The team had brought Beckham in for a workout on April 20 that did not result in a contract at the time. Beckham, 33, sat out the entire 2025 season after receiving a six-game suspension for PEDs. He played nine games for the Miami Dolphins in 2024 and recorded nine catches for 55 yards.
In 2023, Beckham appeared in 14 games for the Baltimore Ravens, catching 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns. He was coming off a torn ACL suffered in Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams. John Harbaugh coached him that season and said in April that Beckham is in a good place in terms of his humility.
"He wants to be part of a team. He wants to contribute. He wants to help the young guys. That's what he's talking about doing. He still thinks he has some juice, and he looked good in the workout. You still got to be able to play.
It's not going to be the old Odell. 0 Odell I guess you would say," Harbaugh said. The Giants selected Beckham with the No. 12 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU.
In his first five seasons with the team he recorded 390 catches for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns. He was a three-time Pro Bowler and the 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year. An independent committee later named him one of the top 100 Giants players of all time.
Beckham told The Post he never wanted to leave New York. And it’s just a special place in my heart, just to see all of these Big Blue jerseys – just hoping for the best," he said.
He added that time away made him realize he left some things unfinished and said, "I guess we gon’ find out soon," when asked about his ability to contribute. Harbaugh has called Beckham one of his very favorite people in the world. The Giants traded Beckham to the Cleveland Browns before the 2019 season.
He last played for the team in 2018. The signing adds depth to a receiving room that includes Malik Nabers, who is recovering from a knee injury, along with Darius Slayton, Calvin Austin III, Darnell Mooney, rookie Malachi Fields and Braxton Berrios.
