Gloria Uluqsi won the Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. presidency in a byelection held after Jeremy Tunraluk resigned earlier this year. 6 percent of ballots cast, defeating nine other candidates including interim president Paul Irngaut, who received 2,633 votes.

NTI offered a $100 voucher to each person who voted. Uluqsi, originally from Whale Cove and now living in Iqaluit, will hold the position until December 2028.
Uluqsi previously told CBC News that she intends to strengthen communication between NTI and Inuit communities and to listen to residents in those communities.
