Point guard Mario Saint-Supery has signed a long-term contract with EuroLeague club Valencia, the team announced on July 11, 2026. The 6-foot-4 player spent the 2025-26 season as Gonzaga's starting point guard after previously competing in Spain's Liga ACB professional league.
Saint-Supery averaged 8.6 points per game and made 40 percent of his three-point attempts while earning all-West Coast Conference freshman honors.
He started the final eight games of the regular season and scored 21 points against Santa Clara in the WCC tournament title game. In two NCAA tournament appearances he recorded 13 assists and four turnovers. " Gonzaga will join the Pac-12 conference for the 2026-27 season after belonging to the West Coast Conference since 1979.
The transfer portal had already closed when the signing was announced, leaving the program with limited options to replace its floor general. The move comes amid changes to NCAA eligibility rules for international players. The 5-for-5 rule now starts an academic clock upon enrollment or the academic year after a player turns 19, whichever occurs first, shortening the time international prospects can compete at the Division I level.
