techjuice.pkGoogle announced a partnership with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to produce a new line of AI-powered glasses at its I/O conference on Tuesday. The devices will pair with Android and iOS phones and were designed in collaboration with Samsung. They are scheduled to reach the market later this year.
Users will be able to issue verbal commands and receive responses through the company's apps and services, including Gemini. A demonstration showed a user ordering coffee online by speaking to the glasses. The device processes the request when synced with a phone.
Google has released smart glasses products before.
Its earlier Google Glass project drew public attention and criticism. Other companies have since entered the category. Meta and several smaller firms have released or announced similar devices.
