A guard reached agreement on a new contract after his agents negotiated with team officials once free-agent discussions became permitted last weekend. The sides finalized terms for a player who has become a notable contributor under the team's emphasis on grit and toughness.
Last season the guard set a franchise record with 232 three-pointers made while appearing in a career-high 80 games and averaging career highs of 12.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Dunleavy of Excel Sports Management handled the negotiations for the player. The agreement was reached after teams gained the right to speak with their own free agents.
