Louisiana and Mississippi could see values up to 112 degrees along the Gulf Coast, while Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri are forecast to reach 108 to 110 degrees in multiple counties.
The National Weather Service issues a heat advisory when dangerous heat conditions are expected. Most alerts are set to expire Sunday night or Monday evening, though some areas in Illinois and Missouri remain under advisory until Tuesday night.
