Hollywood Ventures Group was launched nearly a year ago by its founder after he left his position as head of physical production for Amazon Original Movies. The company that owns the Platinum Universe library is represented by Ray Ellingsen of Moving Pictures Media Group.
"The world-class teams at Hollywood Ventures Group and Thirteenth Studios provide Platinum Studios with a gateway to global financing and strategic infrastructure, allowing us to rapidly scale our creator-driven library into all forms of media," said the chairman and CEO of Platinum Studios.
The chairman and CEO of Platinum Studios previously oversaw the Men in Black franchise through Platinum and Malibu Comics. Malibu Comics properties include the Ultraverse, Youngblood and Men in Black. The library also includes properties and adaptations such as Cowboys & Aliens, Rob Liefeld’s Youngblood and Supreme.
"Throughout my career, I have been drawn to libraries that offer not just stories, but entire worlds with the scale to endure. Platinum Universe is exactly that," said the chairman of Hollywood Ventures Group. "What makes Platinum Universe so compelling is the sheer breadth of its storytelling potential.
This is not just a collection of superheroes; it’s a vast creator-driven library spanning sci-fi, action, fantasy, horror, and impactful genre storytelling with real global franchise potential," said the founder of Hollywood Ventures Group.
