House Oversight Committee Schedules Closed-Door Testimony
A technology executive is set to appear before the House Oversight Committee in a closed session. The session follows the release of draft emails from a 2013 account that contain unverified allegations.
upi.comThe House Oversight Committee will hold a closed-door session today with a technology executive. The appearance stems from draft emails found in a 2013 account that include allegations of facilitating sexual encounters and providing medication to conceal a sexually transmitted disease. The emails remain in draft form and were addressed from the account holder to himself.
It is not known who wrote the messages, whether they were sent, or to whom they were intended. The session marks the latest congressional review tied to materials released by the Department of Justice in recent weeks. Aside from one former presidential couple, the technology executive is the highest-profile individual summoned since the files began to surface.
