Houston Astros to start Hunter Brown against Detroit Tigers on June 16 after shoulder injury
The right-hander will start against the Detroit Tigers after missing time with a Grade 2 shoulder strain. Brown posted a 0.84 ERA in his first two starts of the season.

ESPN reported that Brown will be reinstated from the 60-day injured list and start at home against the Detroit Tigers. Brown, 27, is scheduled to face former teammate Framber Valdez in the second game of the series.
Brown made four rehab starts before his return, including a five-inning outing for Triple-A Sugar Land. 84 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 10⅔ innings over his first two starts of the 2026 season.
Brown has won 11 or more games in each of the last three seasons. 1 WAR, and finished third in American League Cy Young Award voting.
