Jordan Staal scored twice, including the game-winning goal at 6:32 of the third period while stretched out on his stomach, as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-3 in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday night. Staal's second goal gave Carolina a 3-1 lead and put the Hurricanes ahead for good. The 37-year-old captain now has four goals in the series.

The win evened the best-of-seven series at two games apiece. Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday night in Carolina. The Hurricanes have not won the Stanley Cup in two decades. The Golden Knights are seeking their second title in four years.

"Staal scores twice as Carolina level Cup final," The Guardian reported after the game.
