Trading platform IG said it plans to expand cryptocurrency trading across Europe. The company will use infrastructure from crypto exchange Bitpanda to provide digital asset access to European investors. The European division of the London-listed investment platform will rely on Bitpanda for liquidity, trading connectivity and market data, according to an emailed statement on Thursday.

The company reported revenue of 331.2 million pounds for the first quarter of 2026, of which spot crypto contributed 2.4 million pounds. It has 1.3 million clients globally.

Bitpanda is primarily licensed in Austria, with headquarters in Vienna. The exchange holds licenses under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation in Germany and Malta, allowing it to offer crypto services across the bloc.
