Iran has halted ceasefire talks with the U.S. and will keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, according to a report from Iran’s state-affiliated outlet Tasnim News Agency. The report, translated from a post on the messaging app Telegram, accused the Trump administration of ceasefire violations and pointed to military operations in Lebanon as the trigger.

Rubio said the first condition for any Iran talks is that Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz. Rubio added that Iran must announce very clearly that the Hormuz Strait is now open. He also said Iran must commit to specific negotiations on the disposition of highly enriched uranium.

Iran’s state-affiliated outlet Tasnim News Agency reported that the country will stop exchanging messages with the U.S. through intermediaries. The same report said Iran will move to close the Strait of Hormuz. " The developments leave the status of any future talks uncertain.
