Israel Denies Entry to French Journalist Alice Froussard at Ben-Gurion Airport

The Israeli government denied entry to French journalist Alice Froussard at Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv on June 11, 2026. Froussard works as a special correspondent for Radio France Internationale and contributes to Radio France. She had planned to report from the occupied West Bank, which international journalists can reach only through Israeli territory.
Amichai Chikli, Israel's minister for the diaspora and combating antisemitism, posted on X the same day that he was "pleased to announce" the denial. " Chikli's office pointed to Froussard's media and social media posts in which she described Israeli laws regarding Palestinians as "draconian," referred to "apartheid" in the West Bank, called for contextualizing Hamas's October 7 attack, and used the term "massacre" in relation to Israel's response in Gaza.
The denial follows the Israeli government's complete ban on international journalists working in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
More than 260 Palestinian journalists have been killed since that date, according to Le Monde. A photograph dated June 7, 2026, shows journalists working in an alleyway of the Balata Palestinian refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
