Israeli Rescue Delegation Ends Venezuela Operations and Returns Home
The delegation completed its week-long mission on Monday after assisting with search-and-rescue and humanitarian aid. It was deployed following twin earthquakes that struck the country on June 28.

The group received applause at the airport upon departure. It had collaborated with local forces to locate survivors, recover bodies from collapsed buildings, and open access routes for continued rescue efforts.
The delegation arrived on June 28, shortly after the earthquakes. It included personnel from Magen, Ready for Rescue, and SmartAID. A separate preliminary team reached Venezuela on Wednesday to coordinate with local authorities and first responders. That team is scheduled to be joined by additional members in the coming days.
Venezuelan officials reported on Sunday that the death toll had reached 3,342, with 16,470 injured and 17,345 people homeless. Nearly 200 buildings have collapsed, and an unofficial count places the number of missing above 41,000. Some displaced residents are staying in official shelters while others remain in tent encampments.
