Israeli warplanes struck a home in Gaza's Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City after issuing a forced evacuation threat. A hospital source told Al Jazeera that six Palestinians, including two children, were wounded in the attack that destroyed the house.

Neighboring homes were also damaged. The strike occurred as Israel has escalated its attacks on the Gaza Strip over the past few weeks. The enclave has seen more than two years of conflict that has killed more than 72,500 Palestinians according to local authorities.

The rising number of attacks comes as new U.S.-backed governance structures appear to have been sidelined.

At least 31 people including a rescue worker were killed on Friday in Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon according to the official National News Agency. It was one of the deadliest days since fighting between Israeli forces and Hezbollah restarted on March 2.

Rescue operations continued to search for a missing girl beneath rubble in the town of Toura. Five people died in two air strikes on Toura in the Tyre district. An Israeli army drone targeted a car on the road between Kfarchouba and Kfarhamam in the Hasbaiyya district killing a civil defence worker.

Additional strikes hit villages in the Bint Jbeil and Nabatieh districts and the town of as-Sultaniyah killing nine more people. Despite a ceasefire announced on April 17 that was extended until May 17 Israeli forces continue daily strikes on Lebanon.

The U.S. military said it struck two Iranian-flagged oil tankers trying to enter an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman. This marked the second straight day of naval confrontations. At least one sailor was found dead after a U.S. attack on an Iranian ship the previous night with 10 seafarers wounded and four missing.

U.S. Central Command reported that U.S. forces have redirected a total of 57 commercial vessels and disabled three vessels since beginning its blockade on Iranian ports. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said every time a diplomatic solution is on the table the U.S. opts for a reckless military adventure.

The U.S. Treasury announced sanctions against 10 individuals and companies for assisting Iran's military efforts to secure weapons and raw materials used to build Shahed drones. The sanctions targeted some entities in Hong Kong and China. The Treasury said it is prepared to act against any foreign company supporting illicit Iranian commerce including airlines.

Talks between the U.S. and Iran could resume as early as next week in Islamabad according to a Wall Street Journal report. The two sides are working with mediators on a one-page 14-point memorandum of understanding to set parameters for a month of negotiations aimed at ending the war.

The draft covers Iran's nuclear programme easing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and possible relocation of its highly enriched uranium stockpiles. Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told his UAE counterpart that U.S.-Iran talks need support to prevent resumption of hostilities in the Middle East.

The Russian side emphasised the need to focus on supporting the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the USA. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation demanded immediate international action to end Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory and advance a two-state solution.

Turkiye’s UN ambassador Ahmet Yildiz delivered the statement at a UN meeting focused on the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
