Janitor Brings Package Containing Squirrel Into Meta Bangkok Office, Gets Scratched

A squirrel escaped from a package delivered to Meta's Bangkok office, injuring a janitor before staff caught the animal, according to an internal memo seen by Wired. The squirrel spent at least 20 minutes darting past employees. A janitor from a cleaning company accepted the delivery of the package containing the squirrel.

The worker scratched on the finger received first aid and was later taken to the hospital for a medical examination. The janitor who accepted the delivery acknowledged bringing the animal onto the premises and agreed to follow office procedures going forward. Meta declined to comment on the incident.
