nypost.comJasson Domínguez hit a two-run home run in his first game back with the Yankees on Saturday after traveling overnight from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to Toronto. The 23-year-old outfielder consumed four shots of espresso, two Red Bulls and one pre-workout drink during the trip. com reported that his heart survived the combination.
Domínguez had been placed on the injured list after crashing into the outfield wall and spraining the AC joint in his left shoulder. That placement came after Giancarlo Stanton went on the injured list last month. By the time Domínguez returned, the Yankees were also without Aaron Judge, who is out for the foreseeable future with a stress fracture in his rib.
Trent Grisham is dealing with a hamstring strain, and tests scheduled for Monday are expected to clarify his timeline. Domínguez played his first two big-league games in right field upon his return and contributed immediately with his bat.
