Jazz Guard Trey Alexander Stretchered Off After Side Injury in Summer League
Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander was taken from the court on a stretcher Monday night after injuring his side during an NBA summer league game against the Chicago Bulls. The 23-year-old had signed a two-way deal with the Jazz the previous week.

Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander was taken from the court on a stretcher Monday night after appearing to injure his side on a drive to the basket in an NBA summer league game against the Chicago Bulls. Alexander made contact with the Bulls' Caleb Wilson while driving toward the basket at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
After tossing the ball toward the hoop, he went behind the basket clutching his side or abdomen and then dropped to the ground.
The incident occurred with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Alexander, 23, signed a two-way deal with the Jazz last week. There was no immediate word from the team on the severity of the injury.
Steve Wojciechowski, the Jazz's summer league coach, said he did not see exactly what happened and had no update beyond that Alexander was being cared for by medical staff. Alexander played three seasons at Creighton before skipping his final year of eligibility to turn pro.
He was named G League rookie of the year for the 2024-25 season after playing 24 games for the Denver Nuggets that year and nine games for the New Orleans Pelicans the prior season.
