Rep. Thomas Kean Jr. (R-NJ) has missed more than 100 House votes since March 5 due to an undisclosed illness. Financial disclosures show the lawmaker certified 13 stock trades between March 10 and the filing date. The latest disclosure, signed May 22 and submitted to the House clerk’s office, lists trades in Analog Devices, First Citizens BancShares, nVent Electric, Take-Two Interactive Software, and Texas Instruments.

It is not stated whether the representative executed the trades personally or through a financial representative.

Kean told the New Jersey Globe last week that doctors expect a full recovery and that he plans to return to Capitol Hill and the campaign trail within the next couple of weeks. “My doctors are confident that I’m on the road to a full recovery,” Kean said.

Kean confirmed he is still running for reelection in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Richard Hudson stated on May 21 that Kean told him during a phone call he expects to return to Capitol Hill in June.

Kean’s father, former New Jersey Gov. , told CNN his son is recovering from a serious but temporary illness under a doctor’s care and should return soon. The Washington Examiner has requested comment from Kean’s office.
