Justice and Treasury Departments Investigate U.S. Nonprofits for Alleged Cuba Coordination
Federal investigators are examining whether U.S. nonprofits and activists coordinated with Cuban officials after murder charges were filed against Raúl Castro. The probe covers messaging, fundraising and travel activities by groups with combined annual revenue of about $1 billion.

" Fox News Digital reported that Justice and Treasury officials are investigating whether these and other groups coordinated lobbying, messaging and fundraising with Cuban government officials. The investigation identified 145 nonprofits, labor groups and activist organizations across the United States that support the Cuban government.
These organizations report combined annual revenue of about $1 billion.
Several of the groups belong to a network funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American expatriate living in Shanghai. Investigators are also examining the activities of about 40 Americans who allegedly coordinated with Cuban officials to bring goods to Cuba earlier this year.
The embassy said engagement with civil society organizations is permitted under international law. Sources familiar with the probe said investigators are examining the activities of Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin and CodePink D.C. coordinator Olivia DiNucci.
