Justin Brownlee Captures Seventh PBA Title, Becomes Winningest Import

Justin Brownlee secured his seventh PBA championship with Barangay Ginebra in the 2026 Commissioner’s Cup, establishing him as the league’s winningest import. Rappler reported the 38-year-old forward broke a long-standing tie with Sean Chambers for the record. Brownlee averaged 31.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 block across 26 games.

He earned his fourth Best Import award and ranked second on the all-time list behind seven-time winner Bobby Parks. In the finals against TNT, he posted 36.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.3 steals, including a career-high 54 points in Game 5 and 52 points in Game 6. Barangay Ginebra won its 16th franchise title in the best-of-seven series.

Brownlee joined the league in 2016 as a mid-tournament replacement and hit the game-winning three-pointer in the Governors’ Cup finals that year. He added five more titles in the following six seasons. Head coach Tim Cone said Brownlee proved himself the greatest import.

“He just proved [to] himself that he’s the GOAT of all imports. It’s hard to argue against it,” Cone stated. Brownlee was naturalized as a Filipino in early 2023 and contributed to gold-medal wins for the Philippines at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games and Asian Games.

He is scheduled to play for the national team in FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Australia and New Zealand in July.
