Kalshi Seeks Approval for Contracts on Share of Flights Canceled at Airports

Kalshi has notified federal regulators that it plans to let users bet on the percentage of canceled flights at any given airport, @ABC reported. The exchange already offers contracts on the number of delays and cancellations at JFK and Chicago O’Hare airports. The new product is based on the percentage of scheduled flights canceled in a certain time period at a specific airport.

Kalshi is seeking regulatory approval to expand contracts that would let users bet on the share of flights canceled at airports. The filing would allow users to bet on whether more than half of scheduled flights at an airport will be canceled ahead of an expected blizzard.
