The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 on Saturday night to win their first NBA title in 53 years. 5 million viewers on ABC and ESPN, according to Nielsen data cited by ESPN. Viewership peaked at 33 million during the fourth quarter.
Jalen Brunson scored 45 points and was named Finals MVP. The Knicks rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to close out the series. 6 million viewers across all games, ESPN reported.
