The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 105-104 in Game 2 and now stand two wins from an NBA championship. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds and four assists while posting a team-best plus-11 rating in 34 minutes. He has made life difficult for Spurs star Victor Wembanyama through the first two games of the series.

“For me, I’m just happy to be finding ways to win,” Towns said. ” Mitchell Robinson, Miles McBride, Landry Shamet and Jose Alvarado combined for 27 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Robinson served as the primary defender on Wembanyama’s final missed shot that preserved the victory.

“Our effort, it’s been crazy,” Robinson said. ” Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. addressed summer trade rumors linking him to a potential deal for Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo. “I think it’s kind of normal,” Jaquez said.

Jaquez, who is eligible for a rookie-scale extension this summer, added that he would welcome a long-term contract with Miami. “I think an extension would be great,” he said. 1 blocks per game in the Western Conference Finals.

League sources said Oklahoma City views Holmgren as a cornerstone and will focus on managing draft assets and payroll rather than pursuing a blockbuster trade.
