The family stood in the paddock during a pre-race moment of silence for Busch, who died at age 41 earlier in the week. Bagpipes played as Samantha Busch held their 4-year-old daughter.
This marked the first public appearance by Busch's family since his death. His wife and 11-year-old son were present at the track. The moment occurred three days after Busch died from severe pneumonia.
