Lakers Announce Multi-Year Daiso Sponsorship Deal Placing Logo on Laker Girls Uniforms
The Los Angeles Lakers announced a multi-year deal with Japan-based retailer Daiso on Thursday. The agreement places the Daiso logo on Laker Girls uniforms during select games and makes Daiso the presenting sponsor of team auditions.
ESPNThe Los Angeles Lakers announced a multi-year partnership with Japan-based retailer Daiso on Thursday that places the Daiso logo on Laker Girls uniforms during select regular-season games. The deal marks the first time a branded patch will appear on the dance team’s uniform. Daiso will also serve as the presenting sponsor of Laker Girls auditions.
Lakers president of business operations Lon Rosen said the partnership connects the retailer to the Laker Girls. “Recognized as the premier sports entertainment team, the Laker Girls have both a global and local appeal that connects Daiso to one of the most influential and memorable elements of the Lakers gameday experience,” Rosen added.
The announcement came two-and-a-half months after the franchise opened global sponsorship rights for its jersey patch partnership for the 2026-27 season and beyond. South Korean-based food brand Bibigo held the Lakers’ jersey sponsorship from 2021-26. San Francisco-based e-commerce platform Wish served as jersey sponsor from 2017-21.
The Laker Girls danced during a game against the Jazz on April 12, 2026.
