Lakers Re-Sign Chris Manon to Fill Final Two-Way Roster Spot

The Los Angeles Lakers filled their final two-way roster slot by re-signing Chris Manon for the 2026-27 season. Manon recorded eight points and three rebounds during the Lakers’ loss to the Warriors on Friday night at Chase Center in the California Classic summer league. The Lakers also agreed to two-way contracts with Peter Suder and AK Okereke after the NBA draft last week.
Both players made their summer league debuts on Friday, and Suder was officially signed on Saturday. Manon spent the 2025-26 season with the Lakers on a two-way deal after going undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2025. He averaged 10.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 steals in 33 regular-season games, 26 of them starts, for the South Bay Lakers.
The South Bay Lakers finished the 2025-26 regular season with a 26-10 record, the best in the Western Conference. The 6-foot-4 Manon was named to the 2025-26 NBA G League All-Defensive Team and finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting. He appeared in nine games for the Los Angeles Lakers that season.
The South Bay Lakers have been renamed the Coachella Valley Lakers and will relocate to the Greater Palm Springs region starting next season.
