LeBron James Agent Says Client Weighs Multiple NBA Teams

LeBron James' agent said his client is considering multiple teams after informing the Los Angeles Lakers he will continue his career elsewhere. The agent, Rich Paul, appeared on his "Game Over" podcast with Max Kellerman on Friday and used a whiteboard to outline ten teams: the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs.
Paul told ESPN he has now spoken to 27 teams about James. He said the factors under consideration remain fluid, citing the 76ers' trade for Jaylen Brown as an example.
Paul said the 76ers situation changed after the Brown trade. He noted that James likes Tyrese Maxey, could help VJ Edgecombe develop, and would join Joel Embiid, whose health and habits Paul described as positive. Paul also cited the 76ers' front office, naming executive vice president of basketball operations Jameer Nelson and president of basketball operations Mike Gansey as familiar figures to James.
Paul said the Knicks present difficulties because the team already has a good situation in place. He described James' decision as the first made without external pressure, focused on happiness, basketball, living situation, camaraderie and competition. Paul said James fulfilled a promise by winning a championship in Los Angeles.
