Leeds Rhinos beat Catalans Dragons 28-6 to regain Super League lead

Leeds Rhinos defeated Catalans Dragons 28-6 at Stade Gilbert Brutus in Perpignan on 11 July 2026. Brodie Croft scored a hat-trick, with additional tries from Harry Newman and Lachlan Miller. Jake Connor kicked four goals for Leeds.

Leeds led 16-0 at half-time after tries by Newman, Croft and Miller. Croft added two more tries in an 11-minute span early in the second half. Ugo Tison scored a late try for Catalans, converted by Toby Sexton.

The result marked Leeds' first try at the venue in almost four years. Croft's performance raised his 2026 try tally to 20. Maika Sivo, who missed the 2025 season with a knee injury, saw his streak of consecutive games with a try end at 10 matches despite entering the game needing one more to equal the Super League record; he has scored 28 tries this season.

Catalans head coach John Cartwright made four changes to his side. The loss left Catalans eighth in the table, six points outside the top six. Leeds restored their four-point lead at the summit. Cartwright told Sky Sports the side showed improved intent and physicality.

"Up until 16-0 down we were still in the game," he said. Leeds coach Brad Arthur said his team was professional and dominated possession. "We wanted to dominate possession, and I thought we did that really well," Arthur said.
