Footage posted to X showed aircraft parts falling near the structure, also known as China Zun. The registration markings identified the plane as a Sunward SA 60L Aurora, a Chinese-manufactured model.

The plane belonged to a local general aviation company that offers pilot training, recreational flights and aerial photography services. Images of the wreckage confirmed the aircraft type and registration.
