nypost.comDetroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was arrested Wednesday in Tampa, Florida, after turning himself in on four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery. The charges relate to an alleged incident shortly after midnight on February 4 in a Tampa-area apartment. Police said three male victims in their late teens were held at gunpoint, assaulted and robbed.

Investigators determined the victims were not responsible for an earlier theft of more than $250,000 in property from an Airbnb in Largo on or around February 1. Tampa police allege Arnold coordinated and directed codefendants via a group chat to lure the victims to the apartment.
Two associates initially held the men at gunpoint and assaulted them while another recorded the incident and sent footage to Arnold, who arrived while the assault was ongoing, according to police.
Other suspects took items belonging to the victims. Six other individuals were previously arrested in the case, including Boakai Hilton, described as Arnold’s childhood best friend. Hilton faces three counts each of felony robbery and felony kidnapping plus conspiracy counts.
Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo have taken plea deals that include prison time. Arnold, 23, was taken into custody at Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
The state attorney’s office said it will request that Arnold remain in jail until trial, citing danger to the community. Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management, which represents Arnold, stated there is no credible evidence linking him to the allegations.
She added that the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who may have incentives to shift blame to lessen their sentences.
The Detroit Lions said they are aware of the situation but declined further comment out of respect for the ongoing legal process. Arnold was the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and has started 22 games for the Lions over the past two seasons.
