Man Fatally Stabs Girlfriend in Brooklyn Apartment
A 41-year-old woman was killed early Sunday morning in her Bushwick apartment after her boyfriend slashed her throat and inflicted multiple stab wounds. Police responded to reports of an assault in progress and found the suspect sitting calmly on a sofa.

Responding officers could not gain entry through the front door and instead climbed through a back window. Inside the living room they found the victim on the floor with multiple stab wounds and a slashed throat. The suspect, described by sources as the victim's boyfriend, was sitting calmly on a sofa when police entered.
He was taken into custody but had not been charged as of Sunday evening. EMS transported the woman to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
Said the suspect had at least 20 prior arrests, including charges for assault, robberies, and burglaries. The couple had one previous domestic incident on record. >"A deranged boyfriend fatally slit his girlfriend’s throat inside their Brooklyn apartment early Sunday morning – and then calmly lounged on a sofa as he waited for cops to arrive, sources said.
