Man Marks Father-in-Law Birthday on Instagram

A 27-year-old posted a birthday message to his father-in-law on Instagram Stories on Thursday. The caption read: "Happy birthday Nelson. I love you so much. I'm so happy I could celebrate you today! Thank you for being the best father-in-law." The post included a photograph of the two men together at a party. The man married the father-in-law's daughter in 2022.

Earlier this year the man issued a multi-page statement alleging that his parents had been "trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped." He further stated that his wife had been "disrespected" by his family and accused his parents of manipulating press narratives.

The man also made a reference to family tensions in a World Cup-themed advertisement for a U.S. food delivery firm. In the commercial he said: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home. It's not like I don't have tickets.

Um... it's because... " He then handed the tickets to a delivery driver.
