Medical school deans decline to say only women have uteruses at House hearing

Mary Miller questioned Dr. " Dubinett said the school treats transgender patients in compliance with state and federal law but did not answer when pressed for a yes-or-no response.
" Hawgood said the curriculum addresses a wide diversity of patients and stated he has no problem using the term "pregnant women" himself. When asked whether a nonbiological woman can have a baby, Hawgood replied that a transgender person can. He added that the school takes care of transgender patients.
Earlier exchanges on reproductive definitions A similar exchange occurred in January when senators asked an OB-GYN whether biological males can become pregnant in the context of obtaining abortion pills online. The witness described the question as polarizing.
