Mets Activate Reliever and Call Up Infielder in Roster Moves
The Mets activated a left-handed reliever from the injured list and selected an infielder's contract from Triple-A. Two players were placed on the injured list or optioned to the minors.
New York PostThe Mets activated left-handed reliever A.J. Minter off the injured list on Tuesday. Jared Young also returned from the injured list, and Eric Wagaman was called up from Triple-A Syracuse.
Nick Morabito and right-hander Jonathan Pintaro were optioned to Syracuse. The Mets will need to make a 40-man roster move to add Wagaman, whose contract was selected from Syracuse. Minter has not pitched in the majors since April 2025 after undergoing season-ending surgery for a torn lat muscle.
Young had been out since last month with a torn meniscus. Morabito, ranked the organization's 11th-best prospect by MLB Pipeline, was 0-for-11 with nine strikeouts in limited major-league action.
