Mets lose 14-3 to Braves, extend losing streak to 12 of 16 games

The Mets lost 14-3 to the Braves on July 4, 2026, in Atlanta. The defeat extended their skid to 12 losses in 16 games and left them with a .250 winning percentage over the past two and a half weeks. The Braves answered with two runs in the bottom half against Austin Warren. Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-run homer in the seventh off Warren, extending the lead to 10-3. Joey Gerber allowed a two-run homer to Riley in the eighth, and Luis Torrens surrendered a homer to Harris in the ninth.

The Mets finished 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position and scored three runs or fewer for the fifth straight game. Interim manager Andy Green said after the game that losing is not enjoyable. Sean Manaea called the outing frustrating and said the team knows it is better.
