Michigan Wolverines Commit to Tennessee Transfer J.P. Estrella

P. Estrella, a 6-foot-11 redshirt sophomore forward from the University of Tennessee, has committed to transfer to the University of Michigan men's basketball program. Estrella, who informed ESPN of his decision, becomes the Wolverines' first player acquired through the NCAA transfer portal.

The portal allows college athletes to seek new opportunities at other institutions during designated windows. Estrella joined Tennessee as a highly rated recruit in the 2022 class. He redshirted during his freshman season in 2022-23, preserving a year of eligibility.
